Invest In Children's Ministry

Over the last couple of years we have re-invested in the faith formation of our children and young families. In 2021, we brought back children’s sermons and children’s church. Both ministries brought to life God’s Word in a relevant and relatable way for even the youngest of our children.

In 2022, we took the bold step and invested in Godly Play, a creative, imaginative approach to Christian formation and spiritual guidance to prepare children for a lifetime of faithful learning and their walk with God. Godly Play brings Biblical stories to life in new and unique ways, allowing children to participate and make meaning through story, wonder, and play.

The results have been more than we originally dreamed. Each and every Sunday we consistently see the same children come back eager and ready to experience that week’s Godly Play story.

As we move into a new year, we will:

• Continue investing in Godly Play and beyond. We will train additional storytellers, add additional storage to ensure all stories are well maintained, and complete more stories for the next year or even two!
• Invest in milestone ministries helping to celebrate important faith formation moments such as: Bibles, Communion education, going to camp for the first time, Confirmation, and receiving that coveted drivers license.
• Create space for relationships to develop and grow through regular fellowship gatherings, including a week at Camp Lutherhill.

The goal of our Be The Church Appeal is to increase gift and offerings by at least $18,000 annually, with $1,500 earmarked to directly support the growth of children’s ministries. We ask that you pray for a generous response, and prayerfully consider increasing your gift for the coming year. With your help we will not only say we care about our young families, we will keep investing in them.
