Holy Communion is a gift from God! As with any gift that God bestows, it is given with no strings attached--there is nothing that we can do that makes us more or less worthy to receive the gift. When you or your child receives a gift, it is natural to want to know all about what it is, how it works, and what to do with it.
Over the next three Sundays, we will host a 3-part series exploring the sacrament of Holy Communion.
This Sunday, May 21, we will explore communion through a Godly Play story. This will occur as the sermon during worship. Afterward, children (and other participants) are invited to color a chalice.
On May 28, we will gather following worship at the Saunders' home in which Patricia Enmon will walk everyone through the bread-making process.
On June 4, during worship we will celebrate their Communion Milestone using the bread and chalice they made the weeks prior.
